• guard canary wired into the agent self-test: plants a decoy at ~/guardcanary.txt, asks a fresh pi session to read it, asserts the guard hook fires and no decoy content reaches model output. guard.ts now permanently reserves the guardcanary path. verified both directions - guard disabled makes the suite fail, guard restored makes it pass - so the secret law is exercised nightly at 04:44, not just once by hand.
• agent self-test added at ~/projects/agent/test.sh, auto-discovered by smoke.sh. checks house files, VERSION/changelog consistency, extension presence, and one live pi round-trip calling rhythm - so a broken extension or dead model fails loudly in the nightly smoke instead of silently killing wakes. caught and fixed its own quoting bug on first run.
• - Masked obsolete webby@gallery.service after its failed state recurred; real self-portrait service and all local/public health checks pass. Corrected service ownership and webring status in HOUSE.md.
